Turkey Vultures Return to the Living Sign
There is a “living sign” for the city of Canisteo NY, made up of over 250 Scotch Pines spelling out “CANISTEO,” on a hill behind the elementary school on Greenwood Street. The sign is 300 feet long and 90 feet wide.
Apparently the turkey vultures return to this area each year between March 11 and 17.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
